Sustainable Development
" Sustainable development is development that satisfies today's needs without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to satisfy their needs". This is how sustainable development is defined in what is known as the Brundtland Report, which was written on behalf of the UN in 1987.
For us, sustainability, design and functionality go hand in hand and we constantly work to achieve our sustainability goals.
A hammam towel, also called Peshtemal or hammam towel, is a light towel that is functional and practical. It can be advantageously used as a bath towel, beach towel, yoga towel, baby blanket, plaid, sarong, tablecloth and interior detail.
All of our hammam towels are woven by small, family-owned weaving mills where technology, passion for the art of weaving and the love for the popular piece of fabric have been passed down from generation to generation.
Many of our hammam towels are double woven, such as Kilim, and have a reverse design or color on one side. They are much appreciated gifts and perfect for the gym, yoga or short trips as they take up very little space.
Other benefits of the hammam towel are:
- Large and covers the whole body but folded up as big as a water bottle
- Produced from environmentally friendly cotton
- Dries quickly, which saves on electricity
- Highly absorbent
- Can also be used as a sarong for the beach
- Gentle on the skin
